WeddingBrand . . . Literally

Logos by Patricia Vining of WeddingBrand

Like brands, weddings today have their own logos, stationery, websites, and apps. It takes time to build a brand and the key to good branding is consistent application of the brand over time. And now using our Wedding Design Tools, you can create your own style guide and lay out your cohesive vision for your big day.

It is best to brand your wedding at the beginning of the process, say with your Save the Date or website, so that all materials have a similar look. Future guests will begin to recognize your materials as they receive them. Your wedding brand kit should include your logo, fonts, color palette, and a list of the materials you have chosen (paper, envelopes, boxes, brooches, etc.).

Let’s talk about wedding logos. Are they essential—no. They are nice to have, though, and can be used on everything from stationery, to napkins, to the dance floor, to favors. You can also have your logo made into a rubber stamp, an embosser, a sticker, etc.

TYPES OF LOGOS
• Mark or Symbol – mark can be representational or abstract
• Logotype – typographic word or name
• Seal or Enclosure – type and/or mark within a shape
• Monogram – initials
• Combination
