Transform Something Old Into Something New, Part IV – Making Your Mark . . . Monograms & Symbols

Dust off the list of brand attributes you made in Part I of this series as we are going to use them to design a custom monogram for your wedding. Monograms are one the oldest forms of branding in our world today. Through the ages they have been used as currency, artists’ signatures, a sign of nobility, and much more. There is nothing more personal as you create a monogram by combining the initials of your names to create a unique symbol. Your monogram can grace everything from your save the date, to your stationery, to your honeymoon luggage. In fact, you can brand all of your wedding communications with your monogram so that your guests know immediately that they are from you. Take a look at this infographic, grab some tracing paper, and experiment. After the holiday, I will show you how I used my treasured items and this infographic to create some wedding invitations. I will even share the symbols I created for them!
